Shirley Tetteh

Shirley Tetteh, founder of Ellington Ellington, is an incredibly accomplished musician. Winner of the 'Jazz Newcomer of the Year' category at the 2018 Parliamentary Jazz Awards and a finalist in the 2017 Worshipful Company of Musicians Young Jazz Musician of the year competition, she has accompanied such notable jazz musicians as Gary Crosby (OBE), MOBO award winners Moses Boyd, Zara McFarlane, and alto saxophonists Nathaniel Facey and Camilla George, as well as critically acclaimed tenor saxophonist Courtney Pine (CBE) as a guitarist over the past decade. She is also a member of the 2019 Mercury nominated 'Seed.',  2019 Worldwide FM Awards ‘Jazz Album of the Year’  nominated Maisha, and has played guitar behind Anderson .Paak, Eliza Doolittle, Sister Sledge and Celeste amongst many others.

Dylan Jones

A founding member of 2023 Mercury award winning Ezra Collective, Dylan Jones has long been touted as one of the most creative and gifted young trumpet players in England. His technically virtuosic playing can be heard on their first two EP’s ‘Chapter 7’ and ‘Juan Pablo: The Philosopher’ as well as their debut album ‘You can’t Steal My Joy’. It can also be heard in PYJAEN’s 2023 ‘Sunset Milk’ EP, as well as their self-titled 2019 debut album 'PYJÆN' and 2021 sophomore project 'Feast'. Influenced equally by such masters as Miles Davis and Chet Baker, alongside more contemporary players such as Christian Scott Atunde Adjuah and Roy Hargrove, his highly informed deeply felt playing has been recorded and performed alongside the likes of Jorja Smith, Nubya Garcia, Moses Boyd, Damian Lewis, Ashley Henry and Oscar Jerome to name but a few.

Nick Ereaut

Nick Ereaut, a double bass player of extreme sensitivity and musicality, is one of the most sought after double bass players in London. Having accompanied such musicians and Mobo award winning Zara Mcfalane, singer/songwriter Daisy Chute and Matthew Van Kan, Nick has a reputation for his profound ability to listen, respond dynamically, and conjure tone with such love it is palpably audible. Also a tutor at Cheatham’s School of Music, Nick considers music education a key proponent of his practice, which includes an impressive ability as a pianist and singer/songwriter. He is the third, final and integral piece of Ellington Ellington.
